E-470
The E-470 Public Highway Authority is governed by its eight member jurisdictions: Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties and the cities of Aurora, Brighton, Commerce City, Thornton and the town of Parker. Affiliate, non-voting members are the cities of Arvada, Greeley and Lone Tree, the City and County of Broomfield and Weld County; and three agencies – the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and the Regional Transportation District (RTD).
Visit our Team page to learn more about the Board of Directors.
E-470 paid much higher construction costs for materials and labor compared to older toll roads built in the 1950s and 1960s. E-470 uses no taxes to build or operate the highway. In addition, E-470 has $1.3 billion in bond debt to pay off and tolls are our largest source of revenue to be applied toward the bond payments, as well as operating and maintenance costs. Our Plan of Finance is set up so that E-470 is responsible for meeting our debt obligations.
Toll rates are reviewed and set annually by E-470’s Board of Directors.
If the Colorado Department of Revenue Division of Motor Vehicles has informed you a vehicle registration hold has been placed on your vehicle due to an unpaid toll balance with E-470 or the I-25 Express Lanes, you will need to resolve your unpaid toll balance to remove the vehicle registration hold. Please call the ExpressToll Service Center at 303-537-3470.

A transponder may not record a toll transaction due to a defective transponder, improper mounting or sloping/tinting of a windshield. If you need assistance to make sure your transponders are working properly, call the ExpressToll Service Center at (303) 537-3470 or (888) 946-3470.
