Brenda Richey began her journey with the E470 team in October 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience as an authentic and collaborative leader. In her previous roles, she served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the City and County of Denver’s Economic Development and Opportunity Agency, and as the CFO for the City and County of Broomfield where she made significant contributions to sound fiscal management and policy implementation. Prior to her move to Colorado, Brenda held multiple leadership positions with the State of Indiana and has experience in the private, non-profit, and higher education arenas.

Throughout her career, Brenda has provided dedicated leadership and strategic planning across a wide spectrum of organizations, playing a pivotal role in driving financial strategies and fostering team development. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping strategic initiatives that profoundly impact the organizations she has served.

Brenda's commitment to leadership and fiscal responsibility is highlighted by her 2024 reconfirmation by the Senate Finance Committee for a second term on Governor Polis' Advisory Committee on Governmental Accounting. She has also served on the Board of Trustees for the Colorado Statewide Investment Pool Board.

An alumna of Indiana University, Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, concentrating in Environmental Management and Legal Studies. Her dedication to continuous learning and professional development underscores her passion for excellence in service and financial stewardship.

In her free time, Brenda enjoys exploring new adventures, whether through music concerts, hiking, or traveling. She is always looking for suggestions and learning from others for her next big trip!
