The E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation was established in June 2001, in celebration of E-470's 10th anniversary. A nonprofit corporation, the foundation solicits and receives donations, bequests and grants as a means of promoting transportation safety. The funds raised for the foundation are designated for highway safety programs such as child safety seat inspections, seat belt safety, driver education, and defensive driving courses.
Please contact Diane Lundquist at 303.537.3737 for participation and sponsorship opportunities.

********PLEASE SHOW UP ON TIME.******** LATE ARRIVING STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASS, AND WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE FOR A FUTURE DATE.
Due to the somewhat remote location of the E-470 AHF, we strongly recommend that you follow the directions below, rather than using mapquest.com, or similar Web sites that provide mapping services.
The E-470 AHF is located at 22470 E. 6th Parkway, Suite 100, Aurora, CO 80018
Below are some directions to the AHF toll free:
From 6th Avenue: Travel east on 6th Avenue, which is on the north side of Buckley Air Force Base. As you pass Buckley AFB, 6th Avenue does not continue east to E-470. 6th Avenue turns south just east of Buckley AFB and becomes Gun Club Road. From Gun Club Road, turn left (east) at the traffic signal to continue driving north on Gun Club Road. Turn left onto 6th Parkway and cross over E-470. Take a left (south) onto Valdais (at the dead end). Turn right into the parking lot.
From the I-70/E-470/Colfax Ave. interchange: You can travel south on E-470 from I-70 and make a quick left (east) to access Gun Club Road. Take Gun Club Road south to 6th Parkway. Turn right (west), drive across the bridge. Take a left (south) onto Valdais (at the dead end). Turn right into the parking lot.
From Quincy or Jewell Avenue and E-470: Travel east on Quincy or Jewell Avenue, crossing E-470, to Gun Club Road. Turn left (north) onto Gun Club Road. Just as Gun Club Road starts to curve northwest, becoming 6th Avenue, you need to turn right at the traffic signal to continue north on Gun Club Road. Turn left onto 6th Parkway and cross over E-470. Take a left (south) onto Valdais (at the dead end). Turn right into the parking lot.

Child Safety Seat Inspections Several times each year, the E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation sponsors child safety seat inspections at various locations throughout the Denver Metro Area. Certified technicians inspect children's safety seats, and at past events, the TSF has provided new child safety seats to those who were in need. According to Colorado Passenger Safety, nearly 90 percent of the seats inspected are improperly installed. To ensure the safety of Colorado's young passengers, the TSF hosts child safety seat inspections.
"Center for Transportation Safety" Simulator Program In an attempt to educate students concerning driver safety issues, the E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation sponsors the Center for Transportation Safety Simulator Program. Free for students and schools, the Center for Transportation Safety provides a driving simulator, where high school students have the opportunity to experience different driving conditions. From snow, high speeds, effects of alcohol and other situations, the students experience the "drive" in simulated scenarios. Each student takes the driver's seat to test his or her driving skills.
For more information on the simulator program, contact Diane Lundquist at 303.537.3737 or dlundquist@e-470.com .
Golf Tournament Each year the E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation holds a golf tournament to raise funds for transportation safety programs. The 2008 tournament raised over $15,000.
